They were chosen by Wallace Smith, prominent artist and author, as most representative of Indian beauty. Left to right, they are Minnie Patawa (Blue Meadow) of the Walla Walla tribe; Esther Motanic (White Fawn) of the Cayuse Indian tribe and Melissa Parr (Wood Dove) of the Umatillas.
