Marty Marion, the next Cardinal batter, watches while still holding his bats. Umpire Al Barlick signals the safe run. On his knees, waiting the throw-in from Johnny Pesky at second is catcher Roy Partee. The Cards annexed the Final Game, 4-3 to win the Series.
