(Original Caption) A Bath of Milk for Snakes at English Circus. A number of ex-officers of the British Army are conducting a charity circus at Brixton, and have arranged for innumerable novelties. One of the strangest sights is the bathing hour for the snakes of the menagerie. Tubs of milk are used, as the reptiles will not bathe in plain water. As they are bathed before each performance, the milk item forms quite a part of the expenses. The fair snake charmer is shown here milk-bathing her pets.
