Description
William Blake's house, 17 South Molton Street, London, 1912. English poet, painter, and printmaker William Blake (1770-1845) came to be regarded as one of the foremost figures of Romanticism. His best-known works include Jerusalem (1804-1820) and The Four Zoas (1795-1804). Trained at the Royal Academy as an engraver, he devised an innovative technique for producing coloured engravings.
