(Original Caption) 10/4/1964-New Orleans, LA- High waves from wind-swept Lake Pontchartrain pound a home near the shore, as Hurricane Hilda ravishes Louisiana. The gale winds of the backlash reached gusts of 90-miles-per-hour. Homes suffered wind and water damage, boathouses collapsed, and streets were littered with debris.
