404604 02: PFM1 Butterfly mines lay strewn on the ground April 29, 2002 at the Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan. Twenty-two years of continuous combat has left Afghanistan heavily littered with tons of unexploded bombs and munitions, some dropped by U.S. forces.
