(Original Caption) 1/9/1924-New York, NY: HOW TUBERCULAR CHILDREN ARE CARED FOR- With all available deck space fitted up with desks, cots and class rooms inside for inclement weather, three ferry boats are now in operation as chools for the ever-increasing number of school children. The boats, which are under supervision by the Board of Education, are aslo equipped with an up-to-date kitchen, and the children are fed the noon meal. Photo shows the children during the sleeping period of one hour, which is given every day.
