(Original Caption) NY: Movie marquees advertise sex oriented films being shown on 42nd street in this 1969 photo from file. The titles change but the fares stay the same in the Times Square area which is infested with pornographic bookstores and movies, "massage" parlors and "live" sex shows. Many plans are being put forward to eliminate the area which also abounds in streetwalkers--male and female-- and dope pushers and muggers. 7/9/1972
