The Tribute Money', 1560-1568. Christ, in a red robe with a blue cloak, is asked by a Pharisee if it is right to pay taxes to the Romans. He looks at the image of the Roman emperor on the coin the Pharisee is carrying and tells him to 'Render up to Caesar what is Caesar's'. From the National Gallery, London.
