(Original Caption) Syracuse, N. Y.: Syracuse New York Has Woman Letter Carriers. Here is Miss Mary Doyle, one of the women letter carriers of East Syracuse, N. Y. Miss Doyle, unlike the time honored male mail carrier, doesn't use a whistle to announce her approach, as her pet dog "Delivery" barks as Miss Doyle mounts the steps of each house to deliver mail. Residents on her route know Miss Doyle by name as well as the dog, although the folks are in doubt as to whether "Delivery" is special or general.
