(Original Caption) A far cry from the rings worn by South Sea Island maidens in their noses is this one, worn by Ginger Rogers in her hair, but the coiffure was inspired by pictures of the island girls sent here by her husband, Sgt. Jack Briggs. The metallic ring is intertwined in the coils of the hair in this evening headdress. A deep wave gives softness to the forehead contour.
