(Original Caption) 11/28/1951-New York, NY: On usually bustling Fifth Avenue, a lone traffic policeman stands at his post as the Red Alert signalled the start of a test Air Raid Drill, the biggest Atomic Defense Test in U.S. history, that hit New York City and its eight million inhabitants today. The street clock shows the time as 10:33 a.m. This view was made looking south on Fifth Avenue at 44th Street.
