Poisonous plants: 1) February daphne (Daphne mezereum) with fruits and blossoms; 2) Green hellebore (Helleborus viridis) with fruit and seed; 3) Christmas rose (Helleborus niger) with opened fruits; 4) European black nightshade (Solanum nigrum) with fruits and blossom; 5) Monk's-hood (Aconitum napellus) with opened and closed fruits, and blossom (cross section); 6) Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea) with blossom and fruit; 7) Jimsonweed (Datura Stramonium) with blossom and fruit; 8) Henbane (Hyoscyamus niger) with blossom and fruit with opened lid; 9) Deadly nightshade (Atropa belladonna) with blossom and fruit. Lithograph after Paul Behrend (German agricultural chemist, 1853 - 1905), published in 1897.
