Artist's Description

(Original Caption) Col. Charles Lindbergh, scheduled to speak to 100,000 St. Louisi and gathered to pay homage to the aviator, instead slipped away to the flying field and came back to the park in another plane in time to take his place on the program, after performing numerous stunts in his own plane. This was all a surprise to those who arranged the event.
