Chiang Kai-Shek, wife of Generalissimo Chiang Kai-Shek, and one of the outstanding women of China, joyfully looks over the victory headlines upon the surrender of Japan, at her home in Riverdale, where she is almost fully recovered from a recent illness. Mme. Chiang, who has fought for victory form the fields of China to the Halls of Congress, broadcast a message of Thanksgiving and appealed for true and lasting peace. She expects to return to China soon and Generalissimo in the great task of facing post-war China.
