(Original Caption) Germany Trains Men for New Merchant Marine. Proof of Germany's new police [sic] of preparing for participation in the quest for world trade is given in this photo, which was made at the Merchant Marine Training Station at Hamburg. Young men are admitted to the training school, where they are put through a course of practical and theoretical study which qualifiess them for active duty on merchant ships. Students going through daily drill in the rigging of an old-fashioned windjammer.
