South African runner Zola Budd (front, center) watches her chief competitor, American Mary Decker, fall to the ground in the final of the women's 3000-meter run at the 1984 Summer Olympics. Decker and Budd had become entangled resulting in Decker's fall. Romanian Maricica Puca eventually won the race. Los Angeles, California, August 10, 1984.
