(Original Caption) Manhattan, N.Y.: Black muslim minister Malcolm X has assistant hold picture of fallen black men as he addresses a Harlem rally in support of intergration efforts in Birmingham, LA late May 14, 1963. (Picture held was taken in LA, April 27, 1962, after a riot erupted in front of local headquarters of the extremist Black Muslim sect.) Later, as the 2 hour rally was breaking up violence erupted among the crowd of spectators. At least 2 store windows were broken and police were called to restore order.
