Artist's Description

Photoshows George Lermond, U.S. Military Academy (left) congratulating Llyod Hahn after the latter had won the 800-meter race at the Olympics final tryouts at Cambridge, MA. His time was 1:51 2/5, setting a new world record. The old record was 1:51 3/5 set by Dr. Otto Peltzer in 1926.
