Artist's Description

Left to right, John Christie (1882 - 1962), founder of the Glyndebourne Opera House, and theatrical producer Carl Ebert (1887 - 1980) address the audience at the Glyndebourne Festival Opera in East Sussex, after Ebert's production of Strauss' 'Der Rosenkavalier', 28th May 1959.
