Giovanni Cimabue: design for a mosaic, circa 1868, (1881). Design for a glass mosaic in the 'Kensington Valhalla' at the South Kensington Museum (later renamed the Victoria & Albert Museum), showing a full-length portrait of Italian painter Cimabue (circa 1240-circa 1302) holding paintbrushes.
