(Original Caption) 5/6/1926-Leohore, Illinois-Photo shows the interior of the Stateville Prison, from where seven convicts escaped. Two of them left the band after going a short way, and the police received information and went after the other five. Three escaped and two were captured after police wounded two of the posse. When they escaped from prison, they killed an Assistant Warden, Peter M. Klein, wounded a guard and trusty, and forced the captain of the guards to lead them safely outside the walls
