(Original Caption) In an effort to avoid publicity, General Christian DeCastries, recently released from military captivity by the Communist Viet Minh, left Saigon, Indo-China by air, secretly, and just as quietly arrived in Paris. In the presence of his wife, the General met the French and international press. He will be returning to Indo-China shortly, after a series of talks with the Prime Minister and other officials. The photo shows reunited General Christian and Mme. Jacquelind DeCastries posing for a picture during the press conference.
