Artist's Description

(Original Caption) Buried But Not Forgotten. Herman Rosenthal, a well-known New York City gamester, had his gambling establishment raided by the vice squad. He"squealed" to the district attorney and was shot the next day by a team of gunmen. Thus, the beginning of the notorious Becker Scandal of 1912.
