Toulouse, France: Mrs. Jacqueline Auriol, comely daughter-in-law of Frech President Vincent Auriol, is pictired in the cockpit of her plane after setting a new world aviation speed record for women. She officially averaged 509.245 miles an hour in a 100-kilometer (62.1-mile) flight. The previous record was held by Jacqueline Cochran of the U.S. Mis Cochran's record was 469.549 miles an hour for the same distance. Mrs. Auriol is the wife of the President's son and the mother of two small boys. She is considered one of the leading French women flyers.
