(Original Caption) 6/26/1959-Yankee Stadium, NY- Heavyweight champion Floyd Patterson looks as though he is executing a stylish pirouette, but he is really in the act of falling to the canvas after taking a smashing right from Swedish challenger Ingemar Johansson in the third round of their heavyweight championshipbout here, June 26th. Patterson hit the canvas seven times in the third round, and Johansson was declared the new champ on a technical knockout at 2:03 of the same round.
