Description
Magnolia obovata, also called Magnolia hypoleuca, Japanese big leaf magnolia and Japanese whitebark magnolia, is a species of Magnolia, native to Japan, and is a medium-sized deciduous tree growing to 15-30 meters. The flowers are cup-shaped with about 20cm in diameter, creamy-white and fragrant in May-June, with its filaments and styles being crimson. The flowers are hermaphrodite (have both male and female organs) and are pollinated by Beatles.
