(Original Caption) President Eisenhower is shown as he presented the National Security Medal to FBI Chief J. Edgar Hoover at a White House ceremony this morning. Hoover, head of the FBI for more than 30 years, is the second person to receive the medal authorized by ex-President Harry S. Truman in his last day in office. Vice-President Richard Nixon is looking on at the ceremony.
