(Original Caption) Wonderful Ditch Digger. The 90 ton 120 horsepower ditching machine used on the Albert Lea drainage project in Southern Minnesota is mounted on two wheels and two crawlers. A revolving wheel cuts the ditch to its finished shape and a conveyor belt carries the material 20 feet from the line of the ditch depositing it in a spoil bank. With a crew of five men a quarter mile run is an average for a 10 hour day.
