(Original Caption) Philadelphia: In Accordance With The Disarmament agreement. The U. S. warship graveyard in the yards of Henry A. Hitner's Sons Co. in Philadelphia where a score of more of what were formerly Uncle Sam's fighting craft are being junked in accordance with the Disarmament Treaty. destroyers, submarines, chasers, cruisers, and battleships are being torn asunder and the metal once used in fighting machines may soon be turned into plow shares and other agricultural implements.
