Design for a tureen or salt cellar, mid 16th century, (1881). Engraving of a decorative vessel supported on three goats. Woodcut after a drawing of 1540-1550 by Giulio Romano who had been one of Raphael's chief assistants. From "The South Kensington Museum", a book of engraved illustrations, with descriptions, of the works of art in the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London (formerly known as the South Kensington Museum).
