(Original Caption) NEW YORK-5/26/69-: Dame Margot Fonteyn and Rudolf Nureyev acknowledge applause during a curtain call after a gala performance of the Royal Ballet at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York late May 23rd. After the performance, Miss Fonteyn was honored at a reception attended by a host of notables. The occasion marked the 20th anniversary of the Royal Ballet's first tour of the U.S. During that first U.S. tour, Miss Fonteyn became an internationally known star.
