(Original Caption) Phonographs play "Coming with the Rye..." Several customs inspectors searching a barge on Pier 22 in New York Harbor, came across several cases marked "talking machines." In moving the cases, a very well-known sound issued forth. Something like "tinkle tinkle." The well-trained ears of the inspectors pricked up. You could see them prick up. The cases were opened to ascertain whence came the musical "tinkle tinkle." And it was found that there were not phonographs in the packing cases at all. Nothing but vulgar bottles of delicious rye whiskey. The photo proves it. Instead of talking machines it was talking booze.
