Artist's Description

For the first time in history, the US Census Bureau begins tabulating results of the 1954 Census of Business with the UNIVAC, a giant electronic computing system. At the computer instrument panel are (front to back) Clydia Beeps, Maxine C. Warner, and the Deputy Director of the Bureau of Census, A. Ross Echler.
