Artist's Description

(Original Caption) Attracted by the 1910 "pusher-type" Curtiss monoplane piloted by Al Wilson in the stunt flying at the National Air Races at Minos Field, Los Angeles, Colonel Charles A. Lindbergh looked over the veteran ship, tried the stick, and then took it into the air for a flight with as much ease as if it were a modern ship. This photo shows Lindbergh in the "pusher" plane, ready to take off.
