(Original Caption) 3/12/1954-New York, NY-Commentator and CBS Board Member Edward R. Murrow, shown at his microphone, said on his March 12th broadcast that he would leave it up to his radio audience to decide whether he or Senator Joseph R. McCarthy, was lying in their dispute over the Senator's Communist hunting methods. McCarthy had charged the night before that Murrow lied on a television show when he said the American Civil Liberties Union had never been listed as subversive. Murrow, in his rebuttle, stated that he had said not the Attorney General's office, the F.B.I., nor any other government agency had listed the ACLU as subversive... (For full caption see neg sleeve)
