(Original Caption) 8/24/1932-Brooklyn, NY- As protection against the strong rays of the sun, these youngsters have smudged their faces and arms with a mixture of wet sand and clay which is found beneath the sand at Brighton Beach. Vacationers at the resort claim that the clay, in addition to its sun protection utility, acts much in the same manner as a beauty clay treatment.
