(Original Caption) 1/27/1948-St. Moritz, Switzerland- The United States first place bobsled team is shown defying gravity, seeming to hang onto the air, as the racing sled rounded "Sunny Corner" on the St. Moritz course during a trial run. This team made the best time in the trials, completing the course in 1 minute, 18.7 seconds. Visitors on the rim of the run watch the sled flash by. TRhe team consists of (left to right) Bill Dupree, Don Dupree, both of Saranac, Tommy Hicks, Lyon Mountain, NY, and Steersman Jim Bickford.
