(Original Caption) 5/18/1957-Washington, D.C.: A general view of the crowd estimated at 15,000 Negroes from 30 states, that gathered at the Lincoln Memorial yesterday to launch a "prayer pilgimage for freedom." Negro leaders addressing the meeting bitterly denounced the Eisenhower Administration and Democratic leaders for failure to push for civil rights action in Congress and in the White House.
