(Original Caption) 4/21/1954- Garfield, N.J.: Wins New Jersey's first legal bingo game. Mrs. Edna de Paolo, of Boonton, N.J., happily shows the card with which she won New Jersey's first legalized bingo game. The five spot was her prize. The game was held at the Mt. Virgin Catholic Church in Garfield, with proceeds going to a church building fund. Garfield voters legalized bingo and raffles in a vote the day before.SEE NOTE
