(Original Caption) 6/23/1954-Yokota Air Base, Japan: Two of the three Aerican B-47 Stratojet bombers rest on runway here after making historic 6,700 mile non-stop flight from March Air Base, California. Led by Maj. Gen. Walter C. Sweeney, CO, 15th Air Force, it was the longest point-to-point non-stop flight ever made by jet planes and took approximately with average speed of 446 mph.
