(Original Caption) 1924-Paris, France- Hubbard, the great Negro jumper from the University of Michigan, wins the broad jump at the Olympic contest here. His triumphant leap of 24 feet, 6 inches, was exactly one foot short of the world record established by Bob Legendre. The Negro's performance is remarkable for he made his great jump while suffering from excruciating pain from a pulled muscle.
