(Original Caption) There is only one Round Oak Stove, but hundreds of imitations! The original has been manufactured as a specialty for 21 years and stands without questioning the Leader of its class. Manufactured only by Estate of P.D. Beckwith, Dowagiac, Michigan. It has a low-down fire-pot, and the bottom made in one piece, with extra large ash-pit. The swing hearth and feed doors are ground on, and all joints are air-tight, giving perfect control of the fire, which is the only form in which an air-tight stove can be made. Sheet iron is a much stronger radiator of heat than cast iron, and by placing feed doors on the side, the hot part of the stove is kept away from the wall and the heat utilized in the atmosphere of the room instead of being absorbed by the wall, near which the stove usually stands.
