Chevalier D'Eon', (1728-1810), 1830. Chevalier D'Eon (1728-1810) French diplomat, spy, Freemason and soldier who fought in the Seven Years' War. With androgynous physical characteristics he successfully infiltrated the court of Empress Elizabeth of Russia by presenting as a woman From "Biographical Illustrations", by Alfred Howard.
