(Original Caption) 2/2/1926-New York, NY: The freak weather that New York has undergone during the past few weeks has set milady's brians working, what with the snow, and the rain, a fine layer of mud covers almost the entire city, with its sliminess.So the young lady shown in this photo devised a mud guard for her shoes to protect her dainty ankles from splashing mud.This model is a small aluminum guard which is slipped over the ankles, and prevents the mud from splashing upwards as the young lady walks along.
