Artist's Description

Whitechapel, 1888. The Whitechapel Murders were making headlines everywhere. The police were overstretched, particularly in such deprived areas. The only people to benefit from this were, of course, the villains. From Punch, or the London Charivari, October 13, 1888. (Colorised black and white print). Artist Joseph Swain.
