Frank Gehry's BP Bridge (at bottom), girder bridge that spans Columbus Drive to connect Daley Bicentennial Plaza with Millennium Park, Chicago, Illinois, USA. Opened, along with Millennium Park, in 2004. Center: Jay Pritzker Pavilion, bandshell in Millennium Park, Chicago, Illinois, USA. Designed by architect Frank Gehry with 4,000 fixed seats plus additional lawn seating for 7,000, and consisting of stainless steel curving planes. Above it is Smurfit-Stone Building, 41 story, 582 foot (177 m) skyscraper at 150 North Michigan Avenue (also known as Stone Container Building, Associates Center or Diamond Building). Completed in 1984, slanted-roof building designed by Sheldon Schlegman of A. Epstein and Sons. To right of center: One Prudential Plaza a 44 story structure in Chicago completed in 1955 as headquarters for Prudential's Mid-America company. At the time, skyscraper was first new downtown skyscraper built in Chicago in 21 years.
