(Original Caption) Photo shows the remains of the airmail plane flown by Charles Lindbergh, when he ran out of gas, and climbed to 5000 feet to only have to jump with his parachute, and then going through 4000 feet of black darkness and 1000 feet of fog to a corn field near Ottawa, Illinois, where he was unhurt.
