Sir Wretched Fibster was the name given by Irish supporters of Home Rule to Sir Richard Webster (1842-1915), the British barrister, politician and Judge who was an outspoken opponent of it. From a supplement to United Ireland, 13 April 1889. United Ireland was a newsaper owned by Irish nationalist political leader Charles Stewart Parnell.
