Description

Turkana traditional village in the outskirts of Loiyangalani, Loiyangalani Division, Marsabit District, Eastern Province, Kenya. The houses are constructed over a wooden framework of domed saplings on which fronds of the Doum Palm tree Hyphaene thebaica, hides or skins, are thatched and lashed on. The house is large enough to house a family of six.
